What Is Assurance Assistant?

Assurance Assistant is an AI-powered capability within AWS Artifact that generates citation-backed responses to compliance and due diligence questions about AWS services and security controls. It helps you accelerate vendor assessments, security reviews, and compliance questionnaire completion by providing substantive, sourced answers in minutes rather than weeks.

Assurance Assistant works by mapping your question to AWS security controls, searching across verified AWS compliance documentation, and returning a response with citations from the source documents. Citations let you independently review the source materials and build confidence in the information provided.

Who Can Benefit

Assurance Assistant is designed for anyone involved in compliance assessments or security reviews related to AWS, including:

  • Third-party risk managers and compliance officers

  • Security engineers and IT consultants

  • Auditors and legal teams conducting vendor due diligence

  • Teams responding to customer questionnaires about AWS security posture

Supported Questionnaire Formats

Assurance Assistant is optimized for industry-standard due diligence formats, including:
