Setting the default Region in the AWS Management Console
The following procedure details how you can change your default Region from the Unified Settings page.
To set your default Region

In the navigation bar, choose the gear icon (⚙).

Choose See all user settings to navigate to the Unified Settings page.

Choose Edit next to Localization and default Region.

In Default Region, choose a Region.
Note
If you don't select a default Region, the console uses the last Region that you visited. If you sign in with IAM Identity Center, select a specific default Region. The last-visited Region doesn't persist across IAM Identity Center sessions.

Choose Save settings.

(Optional) Choose Go to new default Region to immediately go to your new default Region.
