Launching RCS in Mexico
To launch your AWS RCS Agent in Mexico, submit a country launch registration
using the MX_RCS_LAUNCH_REGISTRATION registration type. The Mexico
registration form includes an additional company name field beyond the standard
baseline.
Registration form (console)
The Mexico launch registration uses a custom form with one additional field beyond the standard baseline. The registration form collects the following information:
-
Brand information — Auto-populated from your testing agent configuration. You can review and adjust the brand name, description, website URL, and contact information.
-
Use case selection — Select the use case category for your RCS messaging.
-
Company name — Your legal company name as registered in Mexico. This field is required in addition to the brand display name.
-
Screen recording — A screen recording that demonstrates your RCS messaging experience. For detailed video requirements, see Launch video requirements.
-
Privacy policy and terms of service — URLs to your privacy policy and terms of service pages.
Note
The Mexico registration form does not require a video URL. The standard screen recording field is used instead. The company name field is separate from the brand display name and should contain your full legal company name.
Mexico does not have an out-of-band approval process. After you submit your registration in the AWS End User Messaging console, the carrier review proceeds through the standard approval workflow.
Promotional messaging hours
Note
The Telcel carrier enforces send time windows for promotional messages. Promotional messages sent outside permitted hours may be delayed or rejected. Transactional and OTP messages are not affected.
