AWS X-Ray in AWS European Sovereign Cloud
This topic describes the functionality of AWS X-Ray in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud Region.
AWS X-Ray makes it easy for developers to analyze the behavior of their distributed applications by providing request tracing, exception collection, and profiling capabilities.
How AWS X-Ray differs
The following differences apply to X-Ray:

Amazon Resource Names in AWS European Sovereign Cloud and endpoints have different values.

Only signature version 4 signing is supported.

Trace IDs in W3C file format are not available.

Cross-account tracing is not available.

IPv6 endpoint types are not available.

AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry (ADOT) collector is not available.

Transaction Search is not available. Unlike commercial regions X-Ray Daemon assets are not replicated to buckets in the Secret Regions. However, the CloudWatch Agent is able to act as a replacement for X-Ray Daemon and is compatible with X-Ray SDK. The CloudWatch Agent is available in the Secret Regions.
